Pearl Farm Beach Resort is a five-star sanctuary of heritage and artistry, born in the 1990s through the vision of National Artist Francisco “Bobby ” Mañosa and our patriarch Don Antonio O. Floirendo, Sr. Inspired by the bahay kubo and elevated with Mindanaoan artistry, the resort embodies the cultural richness of tribes such as the Maranao and Mandaya, expressed through its architecture, interiors, and design details.
Today, the legacy continues with Gelo Mañosa and MariCris Brias Floirendo, whose creative direction refined both structure and interiors. Since 2014, I have been privileged to contribute and learn in this journey, ensuring continuity and authenticity.
Our all-inclusive approach—meals, transfers, and heartfelt service—allows guests to immerse fully in the experience, with a strong focus on Filipino and Mindanaoan cuisine and the warmth of local hospitality. A Journey Like No Other
Access to Pearl Farm Beach Resort and Isla Malipano begins with a scenic boat ride from Pearl Farm Marina in Davao. Depending on the type of boat taken, the journey lasts between 20 to 40 minutes, offering stunning views of the surrounding islands and azure waters.
Upon arrival, guests dock at Parola, a welcoming structure inspired by a lighthouse—its name derived from the Spanish word “Farola,” meaning lighthouse. The second-floor Parola Bar provides a breathtaking 360-degree view, making it the perfect spot to unwind with a refreshing drink while taking in the beauty of the sea and landscape.

Marina, a multifunctional establishment, serves as both a cafe and restaurant, and providing a welcoming receiving area for
guests. It is positioned as a point of departure from Davao to Pearl Farm Beach Resort – offering a convenient stopover for
travelers. Soon, Marina will expand its offerings to include a bed and breakfast service, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests
seeking overnight accommodations within Davao City.

The hilltop “balay ” rooms offer scenic views of the garden and sea. These rooms, meaning “house ” locally, were once the residence of Aguinaldo during his island stay.
MANDAYA HOUSE
A homey retreat, the Mandaya Rooms offer an intricate native exterior and sophisticated interior design. This house features a veranda and a pocket garden inspired by the Mandaya Tribe of Davao Oriental.

SAMAL HOUSE
Inspired by the stilt shelters of the Samal tribes, the Samal House offers a rustic retreat. Inside, natural light filters through sliding doors, illuminating the space framed by a banigdesign.
SAMAL SUITE
The Samal Suite, inspired by the stilted houses of the Samal people, features spacious layouts adorned with bamboo patterns, including high-pitched bamboo shingle roofs and double-walled façades for a cool interior ambiance.

The Parola bar stands as a notable architectural feature, serving as a prominent arrival point at Pearl Farm with its captivating design. Originally an existing structure, it has undergone a transformation into a three-tiered large hexagonal gazebo. The top roof draws inspiration from the elegant curves of a salakot, a traditional farmer ’ s gourd hat, adding to its distinctive appeal. Inside, guests can enjoy a cozy ambiance, perfect for unwinding and savoring a variety of cocktails and drinks.
MARANAO RESTAURANT
Maranao Restaurant boasts high-peaked roofs and intricate okir motifs adorning its woodwork, complemented by wooden and rattan furnishings within a spacious pavilion. This creates a cultural richness in the dining atmosphere, enhancing your experience by the beach.
BUTIK CAFE
Butik is a multifunctional space, serving as both a souvenir shop and a café where you can enjoy homeroasted coffee. We take pride in offering an exceptional coffee experience by sourcing high-quality, carefully selected Mt. Apo coffee beans.
ISLA MALIPANO
Located just 500 meters off the coast of Pearl Farm, Isla Malipano is a 7-hectare exclusive extension of the resort. This enclave, with its 12 luxurious villas, offers guests privacy and a unique experience. Isla Malipano is accessible only to its guests, though they are welcome to enjoy all the facilities at Pearl Farm Beach Resort. The island’s swimming pool, located at the clubhouse, adds to the secluded charm of this private paradise.

MALIPANO CLUBHOUSE
Nestled in the Samal view of Isla Malipano is the new Malipano Clubhouse, featuring The Pavilion, an octagonal function hall, lounge, and restaurant. Traditional elements like thatched anahaw and bamboo rafters – reminiscent of the iconic bahay kubo architecture – Mactan stone accent walls, and okir ornamented panels, reflect local heritage. Stone and wood tile flooring, lambat pendant lamps, and capiz shell diffusers add warmth, while wooden and rattan furniture pieces complete the Filipino ambiance.
On the side, there’s an outdoor dining area and swimming pool surrounded by pocket gardens. The trellis bar counter, with an intricate bamboo ceiling topped with beautiful capiz panels and quartz and coral stone finish, adds elegance to the clubhouse.
